The Toyota UZ engine family has been a long time favorite of ours. Light, bullet proof bottom end and responsive to modifications. Toyota produced the engine's for over 17 years from 1997 to 2013 in three  variations being 1UZ-FE VVT-i, 2UZ-FE VVT-i and 3UZ-FE VVT-i engine. It featured at various times in Lexus, Tundra, 4Runner and Landcruiser.

 10.5/1+ Comp, ITB's or good manifold, 8000rpm. Head needs clearance around bucket bores for cams to turn. Requires spring upgrade & retainer to seal modification
